Strays

Chicago Canine Rescue is a non-municipal entity and is not able to accept stray animals.  If you encounter a stray dog, please consider utilizing the resources available on Lost Dogs Illinois website, specifically their page 5 things to do if you’ve found a dog. We strongly encourage you to create a found pet listing with Lost Dogs IL, and hang fliers around the area the animal was found. If you are unable to house a found stray in your home while attempting to locate the owner, stray animals must be taken to Chicago Animal Care and Control – 2741 S. Western Ave.
