Adopt A Pet
Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from Chicago Canine Rescue! It is only through the support of the community and adopters like you that we can do our lifesaving work.
Due to the large number of applications, we are unable to guarantee every adopter will get their first choice of adoptable dog. We will do our best to be as efficient and transparent as we can with the adoption process so that you know what to expect. All applicants will receive a response via email regardless of the availability of dogs. Please see our Adoptable Animals listing for currently available animals.
Be safe, be well, and rescue more dogs!

The Adoption Process
Step One: Submit a Survey
If you’re interested in adopting a dog featured on our website, please complete the Adoption Survey. Be sure to indicate which dog(s) you’d like to meet. Our team will follow up with you via email as soon as possible.
Step Two: Schedule a Meet-and-Greet
Once we receive your application, a staff member will contact you via email to schedule a time for your family to meet the dog(s) at our shelter.
If you need to follow up, feel free to email us at: applications@chicagocaninerescue.org.
Step Three: Approval & Adoption
After your application is reviewed and your family has met the dog, you may be approved for adoption. If approved, please be prepared to take the dog home the same day or within 48 hours of the meet.
Adoption fee for an adult dog is $350, and puppies under 6 months of age are $400.
Please Note:
Chicago Canine Rescue (CCR) reserves the right to deny any application at its discretion.
